Lars,

I do have 46 sets of twins in my family.

Why are you confined to a bed ?

Forgive me if you mind my constant inquiries.

Inquisitive,

Doug

Dear distant cousin Lars,

I cannot find my paternal grandfather Bill Vail and family on the1940 census.

He was imprisoned during WWII for refusing to kill people, which is a waste of manhood.

I have another 2x great-grandfather who was registered as Mary and as a female instead of Mabry Wafer but he still served in the Civil War but as a nurse because he refused to murder. He packed a pistol in a photo though. He was strongly against killing though.

KIT,

Doug V.

Good Evening,

Yes that was Merida. Many in those decades used girl names to avoid bloodshed in war since mainly men were used in the sad carnage.

Keep Well,

Doug

Good Morning,

Thanks for another fascinating reply.

I did not know our ancestress Elizabeth Blossom b. 1620 was a twin. Do you think her older siblings were also twins b. 1617?

How did our forefather James Vail die so young ?

Are you going to write a hard copy book on the Vail family ? You should.

Appreciative,

Douglas Micah Vail

Top of the morning to you cousin,

You have a brilliant site that I have enjoyed studying, reading, and researching. Well done, nice tree. This shows you are a true genealogist. I have many questions:

1. What does the Latin inscription on you site mean ?

2. Do you think it is possible that our ancestress Sarah (Copus) Vail was born in the late 1790's like the census record shows or exactly 1-1-1800 as the Richland Co. Book shows ?

3. Do you have any suggestions for me to make on my tree ?

4. Have you seen an authentic Vail coat-of-arms from the college of arms ?

Feel free to add my line to your site if you wish.

Consanguineously,

Douglas Micah Vail

Thanks for the interesting story !

One of my older brothers namely Don Vail is a VP for Facebook in S.F., CA and has similar memoirs.

I noticed our forefather Thomas Vail was a magistrate briefly. Do you have any additional on him or his parentage ?

I will study your site more thoroughly in the meantime.

Sincerest Regards,

Good Morning,

Why did you marry for set up as a test case for a new law in the 70s which was purely paperwork ?

Intrigued,

Doug Vail
