Michael Perry
Hi, I went to the SVNC today and checked on Michael. Since the memorial service was scheduled for yesterday, I had a hunch he would have been buried in the afternoon. Sure enough, he was. His was the last completed grave in his section, although the workmen were working with one going in right next to his. So for now it's just bare dirt with a temporary marker. I will keep an eye on it and post photos as soon as the stone and sod go in!
Thanks for caring.

RE: Re:Michael Perry
Sure! I will follow up on it. The memorial was today. He died last November. I expect he will be interred any day now, and I will continue to monitor the National Gravesite Locator for him to show up in the SVNC database.

I'm always especially honored to honor the men who suffered with things like homelessness and the things which lead up to that. My own husband was a US Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam. That was tough stuff and as I said, I'm honored to honor Michael.

Thanks for caring.

RE: Michael Perry
He is actually truly not in this cemetery! The database is updated daily. Usually in cases like this the family keeps the cremains until they are ready, sometimes months or even years. It is often announced where the burial will be - and sometimes even when! But things come up, families change their minds, etc. His obituary actually says died Nov 17 2013, but his memorial service wasn't even going to be held until today! With burial later at this cemetery. I will keep this in my sights and check back periodically. You can also check the database at:

This is the database of all burial in National Cemeteries and is the one updated daily. Who knows? Perhaps he was buried this afternoon after the memorial service? Then it would show up tomorrow or the next day. I'm happy to take the photo whenever the grave is ready.

RE: Cicero Holloway
J Norman Holloway was my first boss when I went to work for Georgia Power in 1976. He & his wife lived in our subdivision in Carrollton. If I can help you in the future, just let me know.

Thank you so much. I have deleted one photo so you can add her stone to her page. She was my late husband's (John Dave Wilbourn)grandmother. Helen Cook
