Bertha Christy Moreland
Hi Karla

Thank you for this photo. It's very satisfactory but very puzzling. Bertha has two different stones in Star Valley under two different names. One has the final surname Mattheyer, # 6057894, and one has Christy, 85607472.

I have seen the message you left for Karen Meeker. This is indeed a puzzle. If you get it figured out, please let me know.

Perhaps she married again after Mr. Moreland's death in 1985, but Bertha died in 1988, according to the data I've collected.

Many thanks--

Wayne

Your suggestions
If you make a link request it is a whole lot easier if you include the Find a Grave Memorial# of the person that you want linked.

Also the only links you can make is children to parents form the childs memorial and a person to his spouse. You can't link a child from the parent's memorial.

RE: How are we related? if at all?
Since I am from Texas, I get that you are from Oklahoma. But, if you were talking to my husband, he grew up with the term "okie" meaning redneck. He is from California, forgive him. hehe. I had to set him straight. My best friend and found relative through ancestry is from Western Oklahoma. We went on an ancestry road trip about 2 years ago to Missouri, so much fun. I have become an ancestry addict since finding find a grave years ago. Been looking for all kinds of relatives since. It is really nice to connect to others you never knew you were related to.

RE: How are we related? if at all?
Awesome. It is so amazing how so many ppl can come from two ppl. I only had my great-grandmother down on my ancestry page, but i went back and saw that Minor and Mary had 17 children. Holy cow! Can't wrap my mind around that. They could have had their own reality show in modern times:) Where in the US did you end up? I see that Minor originally came from Kentucky, then Missouri and then Idaho. So glad to connect.

RE: How are we related? if at all?
Hi Karla, thanks for your message. Yes, we are related. She is my third great-grandmother. Her daughter, Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Venable married Wiley Fornsworth Cooper. They had my great-grandfather Oscar Van Cooper. He married Minnie Nelson. They had my grandfather, Ronald Gene Cooper who had my mother Glenda Gene Cooper. My mother's family is from Winters, Texas (Runnels County). I grew up in Dallas. How are you related, so glad to hear from you!
