Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello!

Early in 2014 I stumbled onto Find A Grave while researching an unrelated historical figure. I was amazed and delighted to find so many of my family members here. That was the start of what has become a passion for locating, adding, linking, and updating my own family members.

As a five year breast cancer survivor and a member of a family that his dwindled down to a very few, I am constantly reminded of how quickly life goes and how quickly it can change. I have become the "lucky" custodian of my family history and have inherited boxes and boxes of family photos and documents. Unfortunately, at least for now, that passion seems to stop with me and hasn't carried on to my children or grandchildren. I have longed for a way to share and preserve this information and these photos for future generations of my family and other descendents of my ancestors who may be as fascinated by these histories as I am. Find A Grave has given me that way and I'm grateful for it.

My work on Find A Grave has inspired me to create a quickly growing family tree on ancestry.com. It has more people, photos, documents, sources and stories, even though it is, as most genealogy trees are, a work in continuous and endless progress.

Thanks to everyone who has been so kind and helpful as I found my way into and through the Find A Grave process. I'm still learning and I'm now thinking about volunteering to photograph grave sites too because I've so appreciated those who have done so for others. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any help to you.

Hi, I received your message regarding the death certificate for this person, however, I did not add that document. I prefer not to have pictures of documents on memorials as I feel there are only 5 photo options and they should be for that person and their family. If you look under the photo of the document you will see the name of the person who added it and you could click on that name and leave them a message for them to make the change; be sure to give the memorial number so they can go to the memorial quickly.
I have transferred this memorial to you so you can get it all done nicely. I love the photos you have added! No relation to me; I just took the photo at Mount Moriah where I go to visit my daughter and parents.
Blessings,
Martie

Herrnleben 175th Anniversary
Hello, I am suspecting that we are cousins or at least you share an interest in persons that I believe are my cousins. I am researching the descendants of the Herrnleben siblings (Christian, Barbara and Konrad) that came to this country in 1840. Please contact me.

Hello,

Would you please contact me at adsparks@outlook.com about the tombstone pictures you have posted for St Paul's Cemetery in California, Moniteau Co, MO?

I have a question where these pictures came from and who took them.

Thank you,

Hello,

That was the only photo I had. There may be an individual gravestone that I did not find. Perhaps resubmit your photo request and see if another person can find it. It was back in 1830 and may be gone now.

So excited with the photos! Thank you so much. By the way, I did put a copy of the obituary for Grandmother Catherine on her Find A Grave page if you want to pull it off from there. You may write me at my genealogy email at mfallwell@yahoo.com so I will have an email address to send you the original scans if you want them.

Also, I meant to tell you that I just found the newspaper obituary for Catherine (Miller) Geminden and will pass it on to Kym to put on her bio. If you want a copy of it, please write to my email and I will send it to you.

Thank you so very much for the very nice photo of Catherine and her son, Frank Henry Geminden. Frank was my late husband's (Kenneth McCoy) uncle. Ken's mother, Katherine Miller (Geminden) McCoy, was named for their mother as her middle name was Miller and her first name was spelled with a "K" rather than a "C". She was also called Katie! I will definitely pass this photo on to family. Thank you again.
