Mexia Cem.
Congrats on joining findagrave. Everyone who I know who chose to has found the experience both fun and rewarding, I'm sure you will also.!!
I just logged on to see what was new on the list at Mexia and noticed that U have selected the complete list. I was gonna head out there this afternoon with Precious, my dog and faithful traveling companion, and tackle the entries since #8, William Corley, but that will have to wait.
That is an agressive list and I wish U the best of luck. The first 8 up to Corley (I found the family plot & posted fotos) but was never able to find him & I never found any records.
I'm assuming U are local and in csse your not aware, the library has a very good set of records.
One person in particular, Maurice Brooks who was killed in action, Vietnam, 1967 is of great interest. I was over at Blair-Stubbs last week but they had no record of him. They were gonna research and contact me, it never happened. If he is there and has no military marker, then I would like to see about getting him one.
Again, have fun on findagrave and good luck on your Mexia adventure.
Later, James Coston
