|My name is Phil Johnson. I have recently joined Findagrave.com site. Because of this website, I have began to research my family history. There is a lot of information out there and I'm trying to track down all that I can. I hope to be able to find pictures and add some.|
My paternal great grand parents are mostly from the Graham Community of Appling County, Georgia, USA and buried in nearby cemeteries like Zoar:
Milton Homer Johnson
Addie (Varnadore) Johnson
Morgan Lee Simmons
Alice (Rentz) Simmons
I am unable to find any information about Morgan Lee Simmons parents or siblings. If anyone could help, that would be great!
My maternal great grand parents are mostly from K'Vill of Wayne County, Georgia, USA.
Everett Columbus Herrington
Ida Mae (Smith) Herrington
Mattie Lou (Thornton) Griffis
I am unable to find any information about Everett Columbus Herrington's parents. If anyone could help, that would be great!

Does Charles Griffis have any kind of head stone?
I don't know, but if you get by there I would love to see any pics of the headstones you find.
Hello! I believe that my grandmother told me that she is buried at Big Creek in and unmarked grave. I also believe that I have seen her death certificate with Big Creek listed as the place of burial.

I added the mother and I see that there are only 2 children. If I am still wrong, please let me know. And since you are kin, I will be happy to transfer him to you.

|Wiregrasswalker||Daniel Kirkland Griffis I|
I descend from Daniel's daughter, Mary "Pollie" who had a child with her cousin Manning Griffis. Their child was Daniel Kirkland Griffis II who married Macy Carter. Their child, Vera Griffis Westberry, my grandmother. If you look up Vera Griffis Westberry, it will show you my whole line. My grandmother grew up in K-Ville and we used to visit her cousin Julian Thornton in K-Ville. I also used to visit Grace Thornton at the old Thornton store in K-Ville. I really miss all of those people. Because of the cousins having a child I am related to all of the Griffis lines in that area.
|Wiregrasswalker||Griffis and Thornton|
Yes, I am related to both Griffis and Thornton.
Vera Griffis Westberry grandmother
Daniel K. Griffis b. 1888 greatgrandfather
Manning Griffis gg grandfather
also Daniel Griffis I gg grandfather
Charles Griffis ggg grandfather etc.
Of course most Griffis married Thorntons so I am related to them also.
I have been to K'Ville many times in the past but currently living in very cold Greensburg PA.

She reminds me so much of my grandmother!
