Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello, I have been interested in genealogy since I was a teenager. I have ancestors from Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland who came to west central Wisconsin. I am fairly new to the Find-A-Grave site, visiting cemeteries in Trempealeau, Pierce, and Buffalo Counties of Wisconsin.

I am happy to make edits or to transfer management if you are related to any of my listings that I am not related to (or closer related). Please use the Edit tab to request transfer or for corrections/additions and please include your member ID number for transfers.

Feel free to use any of my grave marker photos for your genealogy research and family trees.

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." (Matthew 10:29-31)

Your existence has many doors, and each serves a purpose that ultimately helps define who you are. (Dodinsky)

Meta Brunner
Cynthia, you have suggested Meta's middle name as Amelia. What is your source for this? Thanks, Carol

RE: Photos
Cynthia, the name of the book is "White, South Dakota, 100 Years 1884-1984". The book was printed in 1984 for White's centennial and has family histories and history of the town. It is in the library, but I don't think they loan it out. I could scan some pages and e-mail them to you, or mail them to you.

You're welcome Cynthia. My grandpa worked for Floyd Hicks when they lived in Astoria. I don't know if you have the White Centennial book, but there are family histories of the Gleiters and their children and a nice poem written by Georgia Hicks.

RE: Matthew Brunner
This is certainly my tardiet response ever. I apologize, I am a regular user of Find A Grave but failed to recognize having received a message. Matthew Brunner was born in my ancestral village of Iseltwald, Canton Bern, Switzerland. We am quite sure we are cousins. I went to the National Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia and decorated his grave on the 150th Anniversary of his death 5 September 2014. Also visited Kennesaw Mt Battlefield. It was a moving experince. Thank You. John Brunne
