Bio and Links
My grandparents came to the U.S. from Lowisko in southeastern Poland in 1903, settling in Maine. In 2001, I visited the village where my grandparents were born. Through that visit I connected with three cousins, one of whom had letters my grandfather had written back 'home' in the 1920's. In preparation for the trip, my wife (the linguist in the family) studied Polish for a year. It was quite helpful as we found very few English speakers out in the countryside. More recently I've been working on my French-Canadian heritage. Find-A-Grave has been very helpful in both these projects.

"Grammy Albert" Picture
Hello, I am writing to you about a picture you posted on this site with caption of "Grammy Albert" with Kathy and Bob Dudzik. I am doing genealogy on my French Canadian Ancestry and would like to learn more about "Grammy Albert". I believe she may be my Great Grandmother. I also might have met you many years ago at your Aunt Louise and Eva's home in Lewiston.

Sincerely, Larry Albert
