RE: Strom Family Cemetery
I do not recall if I ever answered your post, but if this is repetitive, please forgive an old coot. We have not visited the Strom burial ground for many years. It was in terrible shape, and we are unaware of any efforts to clean it up. The property--John Strom homeplace--has been acquired by a descendant of John's daughter Mary, so perhaps something will be done to improve the graveyard.
There are at least 6 unmarked graves there, which could be John's children, his wife Lucy, and quite possibly Elizabeth Terry, his half-sister, and for that matter, Elizabeth's daughter Elizabeth. I have scoured the census, with no success, to see if Elizabeth Terry was living with any of her children in Alabama or Texas, after 1850, when the 2 Elizabeths lived, as you noted, next door to John & Lucy. I doubt the occupants of the unmarked graves will ever be known, short of exhumation and rigorous DNA testing.

RE: William E. Parker
I have been unable to find anything else on Sarah Mabry or Indiana Mabry. Ironically William Bates and Indiana were living in Rusk Co. TX in 1860. His mother was a Parker. Sarah Mabry married a Parker in 1859 in Rusk Co. TX

I have not been able to determine Indiana's parents or at least a connection to my Mabrys.
Sarah surely remarried after the death of William.

Still a big mystery that keeps me digging.

Thanks for the inquiry.

The problem is an unknown burial. This goes against Find A Grave rules. It tells you nothing if you do not know where they are buried! Add a note to it who her or his parents are and let it go!
