I've been an analytical researcher for over 35 years. This critical thinking process has taught me to question everything.

I am the family historian for the families related to our maternal and paternal grandparents: Barr ~ Ellis; Graham ~ Greenawalt; Klinger ~ Kinter; Hines ~ Thomas; Mankamyer ~ Bittner; Sollenberger ~ Diller; and Taylor ~ Hengst.

My personal family philosophy allows me to be extremely open in sharing information for free, while aiding other researchers in their work.

RE: FAG#:88952301
Linking multiple spouses can always be tricky. If you know the FindAGrave numbers for his other wives, you can click on Edit->Relationship->Add More Spouses on Albert's memorial and add them. It would be very helpful if you could also add the year married at the same time. That would help them to fall in the "proper" order. And...the best way to do this is to add all of the spouses TO Albert and not add him to ANY of his wives memorials.

I have removed my link FROM Albert TO Edith and requested it be added directly to his memorial. That's one!

Good Luck!

I don't think so unless I missed it. I will try to find this stone again the next time I am over there and let you know.

Lottie's maiden name of Templin came from another contributor via the edit tab on her memorial; I don't recall the contributor's name.

RE: FAG#:60792855
If only entered what was on her stone. I changed Lauber to a middle name and not maiden name.
I have no other information. The Mt. Rose cemetery office may be able to help, they are very helpful.

Can you give me a little more information? Do you know where Agnes Lauber is buried?
Thank you, Connie

Hi Boog,

I do believe these are all on the same headstone; one on each side of the stone.

Find A Grave Changes
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

RE: Nathaniel Bittner Marriage Cert
Hi Mr. Graham, I have a few old Lepley family photos and gravestone photos obtained earlier this year during a short visit to Somerset Co., PA. The historic photos & documents are from the genealogical collection of Marguerite Lepley-Cockley (1906-2000) housed at the Meyersdale Public Library.

Of Valentine and Lydia Lepley, or Nathaniel and Lydia Bittner, I have nothing more than the Marriage Certificate you've seen here. Lydia Lepley-Bittner was a first cousin to both me and Marguerite Lepley-Cockley. (And I typical stop my research recordings with the first cousin; I'll maintain records for the earlier family members, but typically not for the later second cousins.)

Thank you for posting your Nathaniel & Lydia Bittner family photo; I'll want to add it to my collection.

If you'd care to continue our conversation on the earlier Lepley family members, please let me know. I'd welcome the opportunity to share speculations on the family origins and unsolved mysteries.

Regards, Larry Head
P.S. I'm located in Southern California; where are you?. I have not yet retired, and as such have had very few & infrequent visits East of the Rocky Mtn's to do family research.
