Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born on my great grandfather's ranch in eastern Colorado. In 1960 my family relocated to Nevada. I have a BA degree in political science and history from BYU, a MA degree in history and a paralegal certificate from UNLV. I taught high school history and law studies for 33 years in the Clark County School District and worked as a paralegal. I am now retired and everyday is Saturday. I spend my "Saturdays" working in the yard, taking care of my pugs and working on genealogy. I love doing research and finding that "Aha!" clue that solves the puzzle.

crampton and botts
Hello Kittie,

I did a little research today to see if I could determine the maiden name of Mary Botts. Here is what I came up with. I do not know if she is a relative of yours or not.

It is my belief that Mary/Mollie Jacobs married first, Nathan Joralemon. Second she married Thomas Crampton and third she married Mr Botts.

By her first husband she had Roy Joralemon (Gerolernon on the 1910 census), her second marriage she had Norma and Bessie Crampton.

You can find her living on the 1910 census with Will Jacobs who is likely her brother and his family as well as her son, Roy, and her daughter Bessie who has married Ora Watts.

botts
I checked and here is where I got my information:

Name: Mary Crampton Botts
Birth Date: 1858
Death Date: 1934
Cemetery: Rose Hill Cemetery
Description: Located at Brookfield, Missouri The caretaker stated forty-five acres is maintained in this cemetery and ten acres is in reserve.

Cemetery Records of Linn County, Missouri Volume II Brookfield, Missouri Part I

Perhaps Mary married after the death of her husband Thomas Crampton as he died in 1903 and she did not pass away until 1934.

I did remove the name Crampton as her maiden name as that was wrong. Thank you for the correction.

RE: Jack Murray Memorial# 24901869
I found the newspaper articles regarding Mr. Murray's death and added a synopsis to his bio. He was identified as "a tramp", probably from Connecticut and variously reported as between 30 and 50 years old and with the name reported as James or John Murray. (Cemetery records listed "Jack".) He was buried in the potter's field and there is no stone for him, as I have photographed that area and didn't find anything for him. There are hundreds of unmarked graves in that section.

And, just FYI, no one at Findagrave is allowed to charge for the procurement of a grave photo or any other info. We are all volunteers here and will gladly take photos and add bios without any compensation! :) Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions.
