They are mentioned often in the newspaper, you can start there. Newspapers are located at the County Press in Lapeer, the museum and research library also in Lapeer and at the Library of Michigan in Lansing. I had obtained photographs from relatives in the Bolton line and some also can be found in a plat book of Lapeer County. Since I researched 100 families at once, I read every single record I could get my hands on. I have boxes of notebooks. To quote specific sources would be a time consuming and tedious task, apologies. The info is there, follow the clues, you may find new information along the way, as well as that of cousins I didn't gather info on. My main focus was on Mary Jane (Stroup) Stocksleger.
Thank you for posting about not being able to locate Jacob's grave. I have found it on another site, but really wanted a find a grave source to locate and photograph it. Do you think the link above would help the cemetery people? Thanks!

Thanks ever so much for the photo of the headstone in Logan Cemetery. Cache Valley is such a beautiful place! I totally enjoyed the 4 years I spent at USU getting my degree.

Thank you so much for your efforts! Thanks to your information, I have located her grave near a family member who had been living in Idaho. I appreciate your work on Find a Grave!
