Bio Photo I am a great-grandson of the George Wright and Aaron Titlow families buried in adjoining plots at the "Old" Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma, Washington. I am currently updating memorials for my family members, and plan to become a photo volunteer in the near future.

I am especially looking for genealogy information regarding John B. Wright #99176907. He was a friend and co-worker of my GGF George P. Wright, but we have been unable to establish their exact relationship (their common ancestor likely predates the arrival of the family in America). Please contact me if you have pertinent information.

RE: Susan....
That's always a tough one. The only concern it really causes is if someone is searching for them under a name they remember but is not what's on the memorial. And I say this because people who are not related go with the names on the markers as they have no history of the person nor do they try to find any. They are just transcribing and/or photographing a cemetery. I myself go with what is on the marker as the family who had the memorial marker were probably more knowledgeable of what the person's name was at the time of death. Best I can do you. And glad you are okay with the photo's. Did the best I could. When the tree is in bloom, it may be possible to get an even better straight on photo without shadows. And if you want to amend her is Lot L, Section 3. Road is Park Circle. Take care.

Hi, I got a better photo yesterday. Hope you are pleased. When you do make it up here and if you get a better photo, I'll be happy to delete my two so you can add photos you want. Take care.

RE: Carlsons - Titlows - Wrights
Hi, The marker for Sheila has been placed. Weather conditions didn't allow for a great photo today so I will go back later when it is a better day and get the photo. Shadows and rain on it. But it looks really nice.

RE: Carlsons - Titlows - Wrights
You're welcome. And with the ground probably being a bit frozen right now, your assumption of placement of a marker will probably be in the Spring. Later. Andi

Hi, I noticed where she was laid to rest when I was there. Marker has not be set yet as you mentioned. She will be just below Miriam's. I go there often so I will watch her site for a marker being set. Take care.

May be of interest - Tacoma Grocery Company
Got curious about the photo of John B. Wright. So found this site. You may already know about it but thought I would pass it on just in case. Probably have to copy and paste...don't think it will allow just to click on it.

Update - Wrights_Carlsons
Hi, It was a nice day today so I went to the cemetery and took photos. I've added them. When you go to the cemetery this spring, take the photos as you like to show them and then just ask me to delete mine. Happy to do so. And as a side note, you may need a special type cleaner for the memorial markers for Fullerton, John and Minnie and maybe by spring for Minnie and Reuben. The type of stones used get really dirty and don't clean with just water and a light scrubbing. I might have been able to clean them better scrubbing harder but didn't want to be responsible if hard scrubbing damaged them. So let me know if you want me to turn over the Carlson's now. Again, happy to do so. Take care.
