Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a lifelong Hoosier recently relocated to the southside of Louisville KY for marriage. I am doing genealogical research on Micks/Waldo's/Rutherfords from IN, MI, MN, IA and Macks from the New Albin area of IA and south MN. Brinks from the Garrett area of IN are also of interest.

I can take photos of graves here in the south Louisville area.

Lucky you! Anyway I think it is mostly straightened out now. Haven't checked lately. The breaking point was realizing that Cora and Ora were twins.

Cora Mick or Kenison
Hi, I am still trying to get this changed. this person insists on keeping the name Kenison and I notice it is from some war graves registration survey in the 1930s. He has added the correct parents now, but no spouse and has her as a half sibling. Do you know anything about this? According to both marriage records, she is Henry and Mary Gould's daughter.

Louise Clara Brink
Since I'm not related to her, I have transferred the memorial to you. Thanks for the message!

Another Qustion
I have Mary Ann, Rowena and J.S Mick as children for James and Hannah T. Do you have them? All born in Canada- I think only the last two- Cora and Stella were born in the USA. the 1881 census in Canada is the last one where the family appears.

RE: Cora A. Mick
What was the birthdate for Lee O Mick? ON the 1881 census of Canada, he is listed as Leioke Mick, 2 years old and a female??

Cora A. Mick
Hi Donna,
Yes I saw that posting and it seems some of Cora's siblings are incorrect as well.
I did find a listing for Oscar's death and think this is the correct one but when I put in the cemetery name, it was substituted for another name- Oak Grove. Perhaps the name has been changed.
Iowa, Cemetery Records, 1662-1999 about Oscar Edison Baker
Name: Oscar Edison Baker
Birth Date: 2 Jun 1888
Death Date: 28 Oct 1937
Age: 49
Burial Location: Guthrie, Guthrie
Cemetery: South Oak
General Burial Info: Lot 29
Comments: hus of: Cora A.
Source: Tombstone Records of Guthrie County, Iowa
Page Number: 9A
this looks like the correct person, but the stone shows another wife. Perhaps this was a previous wife. There is a Cora L there but doesn't match.
Will have to look for a previous marriage for Oscar.
I have written to the person who you wrote to, K L Bonnett and also asked for changes.

RE: Cora Mick
What I have in my tree is that she was born in Sep 1883 to James M Mick and Hannah T Gould the latter being my connection. She married Herbert L Caffee in 1905 and O E Baker in 1928. I have no death info.
