I really appreciate the your effort. I wasn't expecting you to fulfil that request. The purpose of the GPS coordinates are for when the headstone becomes unreadable. It may be readable today, but what about 20 years from now, 50 years, 100 years? When that day comes, future descendants will be able to visit the grave location of their ancestors using a GPSr. You said it should be close enough, but were you standing directly over the grave when you took the reading?

RE: Porter graves in Pawnee City
Sarah, I am always so happy to be able to link and add to the families memorials. I was hoping to get the marker photos this week, but it has been fridgid and SO windy. The only photo was of Steve's marker, & maybe he'll have a more permanent one now. Luella

You don't happen to own a handheld GPS do you? This is kind of a shot in the dark, but I've been documenting my ancestor's tombstones by recording the GPS coordinates of where they are buried (so that in the distant future when the graves are no longer readable, people will be able to visit the burial site).

RE: Porter family in Pawnee City, NE
Hi Sarah! If you go to each memorial , click on the "Suggest a correction & additional info", that would be a great help in getting them straight! I had already changed the name, so we'll change that back, just use the same suggest a correction & we'll work it all out! I need to run a couple errands first, so will try to get this done when I get back. I love when the family is all linked! Luella
