RE: Grand Trunk
I apparently owe you an apology for "pestering".
I apologize.

RE: Grand Trunk
I've submitted Find A Grave edits for the Sawyer family in this cem. They are from Eleanor Sawyer's "Sawyer Families of New England".
Eleanor did excellent work.
Any particular reason why the "Grand Trunk" name was "added later"?
MOCA carries this cem under two names, which only adds to the confusion.

Grand Trunk
I would like to suggest that this cem to be referred to MOCA in order to determine [first] a SINGLE name for this burial site ...
And [second] a careful compilation of all records related to this site..

RE: East Deering/Grand Trunk Cemetery
Hi, Marianne.
Sure, go ahead and send them. (Not sure how soon I'll be able to add them...I'm currently in packing mode for heading back north for the summer in just a few days).

RE: East Deering/Grand Trunk Cemetery
Hi, Marianne.
Thanks very much for the link! Your blog is very interesting and your efforts on behalf of the cemetery are commendable.
I have more to say but I'll put it in an email which I will send to you shortly.
Thanks again,

RE: Elizabeth Ann Sawyer Frank
Hello Marianne. Let me see what I can find. Isaiah's burial place is given on his death record as "East Deering" which I presumed was Grand Trunk. I know there was another cemetery called "Evergreen" in Deering but I don't know where it was/is. I presumed Elizabeth was buried next to her husband. Her death record indicates she died in Deering but the cemetery location on her death record is given on the back of the card. The back of the card that is next to hers gives a burial place of Eastern Cemetery in Portland. I am not sure this reverse belongs with her obverse. It wouldn't make much sense to have them buried separately since they remained married throughout life and neither had a previous marriage. Still - it is possible they are not buried together. I'll see what else I can find for you.
