RE: George Houser Jr.
I have just joined I see what you mean now, about George Jr. having three sons with the second wife. There is another death date for George Jr. of July 28, 1848, which would make more sense for the youngest son being his.
Also seems to be a 50/50 split among people saying Joseph Harrison Houser vs. Joseph Henry Houser for the confederate veteran. All my papers say Harrison, but now I don't know.
The findagrave page by Jere Houser (he's a distant cousin of mine) has the wrong cemetery for Joseph/Sallie. I am contacting findagrave to try and get this changed, since Jere no longer responds to edits via email.
Thank you for informing me of a few things, and I am going thru my papers so I will let you know.

RE: George Houser Jr.
The line I have from George Sr.-->George Jr.-->Joseph Harrison I got from some papers passed down in the family. I don't have them in front of me at the moment, but one of the Houser descendants did a lot of genealogy research years ago at Blountville and Nashville. I'll have to check those and tell you who did the research. Little is known about the generation of George Jr., which is odd considering there is quite a lot known about his parents, George Sr. and Hannah's generation at Knoxville. The reason George Jr. is not in the 1850 census is because he died in 1846 according to my information, but no one knows where he is buried. What was the full name of Jesse Houser? I assume he must have been one of the sons with Sally Minnich? The information I have is that Joseph Harrison was born to a second wife, Sarah Brunson. Almost nothing is known of her either.

RE: John Houser
I just recently figured out how to reply, so sorry for the delay. It looked like you were writing to Sandra, but it came to me. I posted the research doc on John Houser's page. Here's more info:

FOR DESCENDANTS OF KARL 'HANS' (Swiss Immigrant) VON HAUSER, SR. b 155-1722 GO TO: XXXXXXX NOTE: READ the other family tree document to confirm THE THREE JOHN'S. John #1 = (Jacob's younger brother) born 1709-1763. John #1 married 1744 to Mary E. (George) Houser in York County & had 7 children all in York County, Penn, USA: One of those children was John #2 = born 1747-1833 John # 2 married twice: (1) Anna Maria Elizabeth (Herleman) (2) Elizabeth (Boytkia) One of those women had a son named, John #3. John #3 = born ? More research needs to be done to determine which wife gave birth to John #3.

RE: Pattersons put Everett's stone on Find A Grave. I did add his name and he should be on the list.

Thanks for all the Patterson/Scott pictures.
