Greetings - I joined this site in order to help ensure the accuracy of information and respectful treatment associated with my deceased family members.

I am hoping to "reunite" as many members of my immediate family as possible and provide continuity for the next generation in the upkeep of these memorials.

To those of you who have been gracious enough to aid me in my quest, I express my warm appreciation.

Sincerely, jv

Postscript: If you are requesting a change or update to information on a memorial, I will expect a reference, since I have been burned by parties who cite "Ancestry Family Tree" as their source. Please do your own research and be prepared to back it up. Thanks!

For those researching Colonists in Concord, MA, here is a link to an online version of "Concord, Massachusetts Births, Marriages, and Deaths, 1635-1850" which may be helpful:

https://archive.org/stream/concordmassachus00conc#page/n5/mode/2up

It is searchable!! HOWEVER it is based on Optical character recognition (OCR), so for example, Hastings is found as Bastings.

the transfer button is only on the site if its yours. I can't see the button on someone else's memorial. I have so few, never realized the button was there. thanks DAJ

Peter Joseph Gordon
Hello,
An adoption record for my husband has the name Peter Joseph Gordon as father, with probable matching dates and locations and ethnicity. My husband's birth name was Peter Joseph Gordon but his adopted family named him differently. Would you be open to communicating? We would be thankful.
Regards, Maria Gabriel

RE: Rebecca
Wow! She updated the marriage date to "around 1863" on James Minott memorial already. I didnt think she was active. And yes I meant I cant find a marriage record, not can. oops I fixed the spelling of 'Bulkley' to 'Bulkeley' on Joseph Bulkeleys memorial. I will send a request to move the transcription on James Minotts memorial out of the bio and to the transcription area. Denise.

Please disregard request for information on Ruben Sneyd. He was a son of Elizabeth Wootton Sneyd Cooper.

RE: Thomas Cooper 113541469
A question for you. In the same lot with Thomas and Elizabeth is a Ruben T Sneyd. He was born in Pennsylvania in the year 1853 and was murdered in Massillon Stark county Ohio 1877 Dec 12. His death record and enumeration in the 1870 census with Elizabeth Cooper states his last name as 'Cooper'. In the 1860 census he is enumerated with Thomas and Elizabeth with the last name [Sneyd] misspelled. Any idea who he was? I'm not related just trying to make his posting as complete as possible.

Thank you

RE: Thomas Cooper 113541469
Death record available on familysearch.org. According to that record [looking at a digital image of the original record], he was born in Bilston England; the indexer states that the record states 'Rilston'. Per that record, Thomas was 57 years 6 months and 26 days and he died in Canton Stark county Ohio and that he was a laborer. No names of parents or cause of death is recorded.

His obituary/death notice was published in the Ohio Repository [Canton Stark Ohio] 1867 Jun 12 pages 5 and 8 in column 2 on both pages. A digital copy sent to your email can be obtained from www.starklibrary.org through the genealogy department.

Hope this helps
Paula

Also, you can use the EDIT TAB on the specific memorial page to add/delete parents/spouses by placing the requested memorial number and this will automatically be sent the owner via Find A Grave software.
