You are more than welcome. I'm not sure if I have her brother's yet, or not. I got sidetracked by a request for a different cemetery. Did you see the awesome picture of her mother I found? Not sure if you were talking of the picture of her mom, or the daughter's stone?

RE: Administration
Thank you for the copy of the obit. May I suggest that you copy and paste onto his memorial, as it appears he is buried at Cedar Lake. The cemetery has never been associated with a church even though there is a Cedar Lake church about 2 miles north, but from what I can gather was a burial ground established from private land. I am not aware that anyone kept written records of the burials that took place there. It is still being used, but I cannot tell you if there are any lots available. I would have to check the internment list to see when the last burial took place. Most likely in plots already owned by family. It is administered by the Smithfield Township trustee of Dekalb County, which basically means that it is mowed and the leaves cleared. Any grave stones that have been knocked down or fallen are left as is. I am going to review the obit again and see if any of the people mentioned are also buried there. Maybe it would give us an idea of where his grave may be located. I am going to guess it has always been an unmarked grave. I would not think a stone from the early 1900's would be gone.

RE: Martin Wetzel
Cedar Lake is a small, rural cemetery located about 1/4 mile from my home. The only records of burials come from transcriptions written when local genealogists walked the grounds and recorded the stones. Few cemeteries in this county have actual written records. There is another cemetery in the county named Cedar Creek. You may wish to check out the internment list there.

RE: Correction
I'm sorry I should have paid closer attention. I walked the entire graveyard and that was the only one I found. I will be back in that area in two weeks so I will stop up town and see who may have the records to her location there. Rochelle
