Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a house call veterinarian and I take care of dogs and cats all over Los Angeles County. I provide preventive healthcare, routine medicine and when the time comes, gentle and compassionate home euthanasia.

In my spare time, I like to hike and I like to research my family tree. I've done a lot of legwork on,, and many other sites. Along the way, I've discovered the true value of obituaries and grave markers: they contain a lot of useful and interesting information, but they also give us an opportunity to pause, remember and reflect.

I became a volunteer photographer at to help other folks in their quests for keepsakes and their journeys for knowledge. Los Angeles has some pretty expansive cemeteries and I am happy to explore them for others that can't make the trip.

Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills is my main stomping ground. It's close to home and the photo requests almost always include a burial location, which makes my job a whole lot easier.

If you have an interest in a grave somewhere else in Los Angeles, I'd be more than happy to photograph it, if you can connect with the cemetery and provide me with an exact burial location.

RE: Arthur A Hanson in Masonic Memorial Park
Hi Steve,

Thank you for sharing the info with me. I added a notation about this memorial being a cenotaph and a link to his memorial at Fort Snelling. I also put in a photo request for Fort Snelling (just curious to see if he has a military marker there as well).

RE: Arthur A Hanson in Masonic Memorial Park
All I know is he has a marker in Masonic, although it could be a cenotaph. Take a look at Memorial #66819647 in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota. Same name and birth/death dates. I don't know if he is the same man but it could explain why Masonic had no record of him. Why his marker is in Washington is a mystery.

Garrick photo requests
Hi steve you must have put your photo request in For Jean and Norma while I was in the middle of transcribing all the photos for Garrick Cemetery. :) I got done and then saw them so i guess you can delete your requests now.

RE: Margaret McCormick Clarke
Ahhh - she is listed in the registry as Clark, not Clarke. I will see what I can do next time I am there. It lists her in CR9 grave 54, so I assume that is Section C Range 9 grave 54, but I will check with the office.
