I have been a cemetery enthusiast most of my life and kept it hidden from everyone else for a long time till I found others who share the same passion towards cemeteries as i do. I'm part of a cemetery restoration team. I enjoy cemeteries for the history, art work of the headstones and the peacefulness.
Ted Kelm Jr. I am waiting for the email response form two ancestry members whom I contacted recently, but I don't know if they will be able to provide any info. If I get a new lead I will share it with you. Ted had a house on 226 N. Taylor Ave, and his last address: 1415 W. Mound Rd. is, I think, an extended care facility also in the area. I see on the map that there are two cemeteries close to his former house address: Graceland and Fairlawn. Thanks again for your involvement in my search! I greatly appreciate it. Agnes
Ted Kelm Jr. Lutheran cemetery stated in the memorial is only a possibility.(I made a note of it in the memorial)I have created this memorial (#154565909) initially with the cemetery in Harristown (where his wife is buried). Yesterday after seeing your message I changed burial place to "unknown" but the system wouldn't allow me to enter the request for search and photo with a suggestion where to look. I had to enter an actual cemetery name in order to be able to create a request for further search. So - yes - it's him, but we are still searching. Sorry for the confusion. I appreciate your response and your effort. Agnes
Theodore Kelm Jr. Thank you very much for checking into Theodore's burial site. We assumed he was interned with his wife but looks like we were wrong. Two other options in Decatur are: St. John's Lutheran cemetery (he was brought up a protestant) and Graceland/Fairlawn cemetaries which were close to his home in Decatur. I will try to check with both over the phone. If you are in the area sometime and you could check into it I will appreciate it very much. I have no idea if there will be a stone.
R W Lynne Griffiths Boy that marker must have been hard to find!! Thank you so much for that photo. It is much appreciated. You might want to look at it again as your computer spit out triplet photos on the memorial #70493131
Hugh Warner BR - I am so sorry.... just found Find A Grave email with you full-filling a photo request! Thank you so much for taking the time to help our family with our tree. We appreciate it very much! Pam
