|I am currently working on creating and updating surveys for local cemeteries, and I have some digital copies available to anyone who would like to have them (see list below). My surveys include sections and plot #s, names, dates, military service, family relationships (where known), inscriptions, Find a Grave Memorial ID#s, and extra notes. |
The only thing I ask is that if you edit anything you find in these spreadsheets, to please e-mail me as you do so. (If you are submitting edits on Find a Grave, I will be notified, so there is no need to e-mail me about your edits.) I would like to update my master copies, as well, and I reserve all rights to these documents, Any reproduction or distribution of any kind is prohibited, unless permission has been obtained from me. Furthermore, none of my surveys are available for resale or monetary profit of any form. These are designed to be 100% free and an aid to all who like to research the area. If you would like to request a digital copy, please e-mail me or leave me a message here and provide me with a valid e-mail address.
Digital surveys available (all in Excel format):
Aiken Memorial Gardens (completed 2013), Hwy 19, Aiken, SC
Graniteville Cemetery (NOW COMPLETE, May 2014), Graniteville, SC
(Note: This survey is an update of the 2001 book version. Many errors have been corrected, and most, if not all, duplicate records (i.e. many who were listed as unmarked in one section were actually marked in another section) have been deleted.)
Fairfield Cemetery, No. 148 (SRS) - Dec 2014
Hollow Creek Baptist Church - Dec 2014
Langley Cemetery - In progress
Old Rosemary Baptist Church - Dec 2014
Also, for these surveys, I have taken pictures of markers (or plots/sections where markers do not exist) for everyone in the survey, for those who did not have one posted. However, sometimes, they are not as clear as I would have liked. Please feel free to request a better image, and I will do my best to fulfill your request. I do not mind at all if you copy any image I post, whether it be family photos or grave marker photos. I consider these public domain and 100% free to all.
I absolutely do not believe in "ownership" of memorials created on this site, which has been extremely helpful to me in confirming dates and locations of my loved ones' final resting places. I have never been and will never be in this for the numbers. This be a collaborative process so as to ensure accuracy, because let's face it, sometimes the date and/or name on the stone just isn't right.
With all that being said, if I have created a memorial for your relative (even if it's outside of the 4-generation rule), or even if they are not a direct ancestor but a cousin/aunt/uncle, etc., and you would like me to transfer it to you so as to better memorialize them, please do not hesitate to ask me. The only exception I will make to this is if I am a direct descendant or more closely related (i.e. my aunts and uncles or cousins). Like I said, I'm not in this for the numbers. I'm just trying to help provide the information so that people can locate and honor their loved ones who have passed out of this life into the next. I create memorials as I work on local surveys so as to ensure that there is a record of that person being there. If they are not listed, then no one can find them. And as I have had a hard time finding some of my relatives, I want to make sure there is a record of everyone in a cemetery I am working on.
If instead of transferring the memorial, you would prefer for me to add notes and/or obituaries, again please do not hesitate to ask. I will edit all obituaries submitted in order to comply with FAG's privacy and copyright policy, unless they already comply with that policy. I will do everything I can to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. :)

Hi, I noticed you mention their death certificates on their memorials They are my Great Great Grandparents. Do you happen to have copies of their death certificates? If so, I would like to get a copy of them if possible. I have Nicie Jane Johnson's obituary from 1941. I am descended from her daughter Mariah Johnson McCormick.
Thanks so much,
|Alabama Poes||Jonathan Morgan|
Thank you for bringing my attention to the fact that I had not entered his place of birth and death in the dates section. I must have overlooked it when I entered them in his bio and place of burial. :)

Thank you for fulfilling my request.

I understood you to ask me to post the photo of headstone for John R and Ella E Morris to the memorial#139105198 you established for Ella and I would love to oblige you but I did not take that photo. Jerry Allen Turner did.
If I read your message wrong, please correct me as I am not beyond a "senior moment" every now and then. I would do most anything to help out with what I can.
