RE: Daniel Brackett/Daniel Brackett Cemetery
You can request a photo of the stone. Where the picture goes is a spot to click to do so. You are most welcome to do that. Thanks for the information.

RE: Bracketts
Silas Patrick Gillentine Sr was my mothers father. Bertha Lavonia Brackett was my grandmother. (Silas' wife). Silas passed away before my mom & dad married. I will ask her if she knows. I do believe he served. We found out he was married once before he married my grandmother. We also went to the National archives in Nashville and did find he did get a divorce (although they didn't call it divorce back then). I don't remember exactly what it was called.

RE: Bracketts
Hi Kathy,
I'm glad you've found my information useful. I love my Brackett ancestors. Are you related to the Bracketts?
Best regards
Diane

Removal of Confederate tribute
If you don't mind, would you please remove the tribute you left on the memorial of my ancestor ELIJAH COFFEY (#5369618). There is no indication in documents or family lore that Elijah was a sympathizer with the Southern cause and every reason to believe that he served only because he was required to do so under the Conscription Act. It wrongs his memory to characterize him as a Confederate hero. And the Confederate flag is odious to my family. Please respect our wishes.

Thank you,

John Coffey

I do not know what happened to the military stone. The one that took the picture and sent to me this was all they had for him.

I can ask that somebody that lives close to there to take a picture. I do not. I live in Arkansas.
