Well, my name is Chris and I live in semi rural Southeastern Saskatchewan, close to North Dakota. I do my best from time to time, to keep an eye on certain requests that come up in my areas or any area I may be travelling to. I am particularly interested in early rural Saskatchewan immigration & history (Homesteads, Sask School Districts, Churches & Ghost Towns). I also did a bit of research in rural North Dakota. Old pictures from the 18th and 19th century of the area are also an interest! Basically I enjoy mapping together the ancient past.|
If there is anything in my area that I can help you with, please do message me and I'll do my best to respond in a timely matter.
Nice to meet you & happy history searching.

Hi Chris - You tried to fulfill a photo request for me at Asquith about a week ago. I sent you a private email on 26 May, but not sure if it went to your spam. I put "Find A Grave" in the subject. I didn't want you to think your help had not been appreciated. It was so kind of you. You also mentioned the list of burials there that you could email. Please let me know thru any of my memorials if you need me to send my email again. Thanks.

Me again! I noticed on the headstone picture for the Hood daughter, that the headstone actually says daughters, so there must have been two children who died on the same day. The person who has those memorial pages actually just made up another memorial page for the second daughter. Would you mind adding the Hood daughter headstone photograph to her page also? Thank you!

Thank you so much for the Hood headstone pictures! It is especially nice when someone takes photographs in rural areas for us that live so far away. Thank you again! Jan
|Tammy Johnson||A challenge|
Hi Chris you said you are in SE Sask. Are you anywhere near Shaunavon? I have a picture from my uncles things of a headstone and on the back it says "gravestone in cemetery about 2 miles south and 1/2 mile west of Shaunovan" I cannot find this cemetery anywhere, I don't even know what it is called. Any ideas? The headstone is a very large marble 2 column thing with the name Madson on it. I'd be interested to know if you have any idea?
|Tammy Johnson||Thank you for both photos|
Saskatchewan is a little far for me, especially just to visit grave stones, all my family from that area have passed. There may be a few other stones in the area I am interested in so please keep a watch out. I sincerely appreciate your efforts.
|Tammy Johnson||Thanks a bunch|
Thank you for taking the time to fulfill my request for pictures of my great grandfather. I appreciate it.

It is appropriate to post a Memorial for Joseph and the photo to that Memorial. It is not appropriate to set up any Memorial for someone that is still living.
|Ian Macaulay||RE: Macaulay in Markinch/Cupar|
Thank you, I will record is as such. I have put this note of yours in the family file with the photo of the stone. I will post part of this note with the Find A Grave memorial as well. Find a Grave is duplicated I have asked them to do a merge.
Thanks again for your help and work.
I am looking for information on two Cemeteries.
Markinch and Cupar. You recently posted a photo for E Macaulay in Markinch Cemetery FaQ Find A Grave Memorial# 155114045 or 103698203. He is also posted as being in Cupar Cemetery. Can you please, if it is not a problem, clear up the discrepancy?
Where was the photo taken? Are they the same Cemetery with two names?
The stone reads E. Kenneth Mcaulay
Hope you can help with this.
