Bethel Cemetery
Thank you for posting your photos of Bethel Cemetery. Our family has had a long running debate with the Church for their mishandling of those we entrusted into their care. My 4th Great Grandfather, his wife and some children are under that parking lot. Captain Robert Hatch's stone did not survive the fence, a portion of it was found in a local junk yard and respectfully returned to the family. The church seems to have erected the stone commemorating those buried there after numerous attempts by my family to gain recognition for Captain Hatch who was killed defending Charleston from the British in 1814. I will continue to push for some sort of plaque to honor this Veteran. Thank you again I would have not have known of that monument without your post.

RE: Margie & Ira Pooser
Ira's wife, Margie, was my first cousin. Robert was their child... I think I said he was my first cousin, but it was 2nd. Margie was about 12-15 years older than me, and Robert was a couple of years younger.

They had 2 other sons, Gerald and Donald. Gerald, I believe, is the only one surviving.
