Thanks, Jay. My mother's maiden name was Summers and my 3rd Great Grandmother (I believe) was married to Daniel Boone's brother, Squire Boone.
I have not done a lot on my mother side. I have done a lot on the my father's side, the Huggins family, because I have a huge interest in the Civil War and who on my side of the family fought for States Rights.
So far, I have documented about 14 Huggins who fought with the CSA. At least one and probably more than that, were with Gen. Robert E. Lee at Appomattox Court House, VA when he signed the surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia to Gen. U.S. (Unconditional Surrender) Grant.
