Where in TN?
And who are you matching who has Rufus Watkins in their tree?

I know Elizabeth Watkins in Washington County was Jennie's mother.

My mother's kit is F208386. My mom has 1st to 6th cousins from all her line who have tested, so I'll have to see if you match any of them.

Tennessee is a long state and Watkins is a common name.

I have tested my mother who is the great great granddaughter of Jennie Watkins with FTDNA, 23andMe, and

I know you don't descend from Jennie. All of her children are accounted for. If you did, you would be a very close match for her.

My mother's 2nd Watkins has tested along with her 1st cousin 1x removed from her Green/Watkins. We have a another match with Jennie's first born whose father was a Bowser.

I need to know who you are matching and your kit number. My mother and all her cousins are on gedmatch

Re your msg: Thank you for the great entry. I'm wondering if Annie, Juanita and Dora are actually not the biological daughters of Gaston and Fannie.

Noticed Sis's obit states who her parents are.

Mrs. Wolfe was born March 14, 1925, at Eagle Rock, Virginia, a daughter of the late Gaston Wiley and Fannie Huffman Wiley Newcomb. <-----

Dora Campbell & Sister
Oops! Hit enter too soon!

Re your msg on the 3 sisters, have no info whatsoever. Even though we knew Dora for 45+ years, we never met any of her siblings, except "Sis." When we would come to Roanoke to visit the Campbell family (was married to 2nd eldest son, Ellis C Campbell sr), we would stay with Dora and later Dora & Sis.

We have Christmas card contact with her son, but have never talked with him about her genealogy.

If we find out anything in the future, will certainly pass it along to whomever is the Contributor concerned.

Christmas cheer!

Obituary-for Gaylord Noble
I don't blame you for questioning my links. That is good that we do not take anything for granted. I do attempt to be correct, sometimes, I do goof. His obituary verified the connection.

I think the fact that he had "step-brothers' named Noble, indicates that his mother was married to someone with the last name of Noble. I thank you for your assist, with the tangle of names. I found his obit on-line with the
Springfield News-Sun paper, and noticing the difference in names.
