RE: Keith Cottman
No worries. Not sure if it was the family - it was the fault of Springvale as they had hit it with a mower. The Cottman memorial wasn't the only one damaged in the area - often we report where they have been hit by a mower. We felt a bit special about this one and were very pleased when we checked yesterday. We have checked it often so yesterday was really a good day for us!

Keith Cottman
Yeah!! The plaque for Keith Cottman has been restored. We have added a photo. Someone put some nice flowers out so we got a photo of both plaques and the flowers for you as well. Kudos to Springvale or whomever fixed up the plaque.

Missing plaque
Hi Vonnie,

Just wanted to let you know we have not forgotten you. We went by yesterday (New Year's Eve) and checked both the plot and with the office. They still have the missing plaque as "under investigation" and we were assured it would be looked in to. As for memorials that have the orange sticker, they will be "dismantled" when they get to that area. You can contact the office and give them your details and they will contact you when that is going to happen. You can then arrange to pay for a permanent place or you can pick up the ashes and plaque yourself (or have an agent do it) and then do with the ashes whatever you like. If you do nothing, the memorial is "dismantled" and the ashes are just spread somewhere in Springvale. If you want details so you can contact them, let us know! In the meantime, we will keep an eye out for the plaque returning.

RE: Janice Loretto Cottman Dew 119115549
Transfer done :-) It was a pleasure! I didn't know if you are in Oz or not and I had no contact details for you to give to Springvale, that is why we did what we did. I am happy to follow through for you and will let you know when I hear something.

Janice Loretto Cottman Dew 119115549
Hi, while we were at Springvale today getting photos for you of the marker for Gladys Cottman, we spotted one for Janice Loretto, beloved wife of Peter Charles Dew and only daughter of Barry and Gladys Cottman. We suspected that since she is buried with "Janice Loretto" that Gladys is her mother so we have linked the two. We suspect that Frederick "Barry" Cottman is the father of Janice and husband of Gladys but we did not link him because Frederick is not the listed name, Barry is. Please feel free to let us know if this is correct and if you want this grave transferred to you. Have a great day.
God bless, 'becca

Well Done
Looks like you are getting it all sorted now. I see you have a couple in the Spingvale Botanical, which is awesome

RE: Lillie & Christina Cottman
Hi Yvonne, Welcome to Find a Grave. Thanks so much for the message, very much appreciated.
Are you related to the Cottman family? There is also a Elsa Cottman buried at Burwood. I don't have any dates for her, but happy to take a photo on my next trip to Burwood, just let me know.

Cheers, Sue
