RE: Edsel Valentine's Headstone I am so happy to hear that he will eventually be in a marked grave. Sorry to hear that the Hillside sextants placed it incorrectly but they both were extremely helpful to me the day I was there. Both of the men spent nearly an hour walking the grounds and poking in case it was under soil. It was your photos and comments that compelled me to look for your uncle. Blessings to all.

Edsel Ford Valentine I am a member at North Springfield Presbyterian Church, caretakers of the Ellet Cemetery. I have been working on photos for the cemetery and noticed his was not there and that possibly another had been put there. I had the cards pulled and he does not show up in our records. I checked at nearby Hillside Memorial Park and they have his grave there. He is located near the ALBRECHT entrance on your right in Section 2 Plot L. The Sextant helped me search and we located Plot J which has a J marker. unfortunately there is no marker or stone at Plot L. There are a number of unmarked small graves. I have attached a photo from the entrance street of the "open area" where he would be found 2 spaces from the J. You will want to change the location from Ellet to Hillside, please feel free to use the photo and death cert I attached. If you would like I can email the plot map to you. Email a request if you want it to email@example.com. Best Wishes, Bev Daugherty
I checked the death certificate for the grandmother online at familysearch and it says she is buried at Glendale. You can call the cemetery and get the plot number. They may also have info as to if there is a marker. Some of the plot maps have shading showing which graves are marked and which are unmarked. It depends on which section.
RE: Another Gravesite for same Person? HI Susan - I'm not sure about the grave in Gunnison. It could be that someone just "assumed" that the dates and places were correct because they found information on someone with a similar name. It happens sometimes, but not sure if that's the case here.
For the memorial in Manassa Cemetery - that cemetery is still very much in existence. They haven't buried people there in years and while it's not the prettiest of cemeteries, it is somewhat maintained. I am in the process of making connections to family members and adding additional info on all of the memorials in Manassa. I hadn't gotten to the "V's" yet, but I just went in and listed the names of the parents and the spouse for Eliza (per cemetery records.) If you do believe this is your grandmother, just let me know and I will happily transfer her memorial to you.
The records didn't list anything about place of birth or death, so I am not much help there.
