Bio

I am the daughter of Jack Cole Brown and Lula Mayes Brown, with ancestors buried in Pickens County, AL; Tuscaloosa, AL; Sheffield, AL; Boyd, AL; and Meridian, MS. My mother's family, originally from England, Scotland, and Ireland, is documented to before the Revolutionary War, and my cousin and I are members of DAR. My father's family is harder to trace, as they were farmers; family lore says the first Browns were Scot-Irish and came to this area is the early 1800's. Also on my father's side are German ancestors, the Koons and Wedamans.

I currently live in Tuscaloosa, AL and enjoy learning more about my ancestors. I am an active member of the Chief Tuskaloosa Chapter, NSDAR. I also hand-quilt, knit, crochet, and sew, thanks to the patient tutelage of my grandmothers.
