Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogist since high school (graduated in 1979) from Marion L Steele High School, Amherst OH).
I am a family historian for two different families in two different states - Michigan & Pennsylvania. As a descendant of family members from two different states (Michigan & Pennsylvania) this means I subscribe to newspapers that either do not keep their obituaries on their websites for long periods of time some times less than 7 days. that are NOT on the Internet. If I discover that one of my family members has a "find-a-grave" listing and some information needs to be updated...I will be supplying the information from the obituary in my possession, if I have it available. Genealogy has become an income (especially when I lost my job in 2005)- but this business owner (me) does a lot of VOLUNTEER work in the Genealogy field. One of those ways - is by submitting and working with obituaries of Amherst Schools Alumni - whether they graduated from Amherst Central High School, Central High School, Amherst High School, Marion L Steele High School or Amherst Steele High School. Sometimes, the obituary has a picture of the person in it. Sometimes not.

Krista K Gable (eaglekkg), Secretary & Historian for the Annual Bowman Family Reunion that meets each year. The descendants of this reunion - are the Families & Descendants of Johannes Bowman (he had 5 known children: Abraham, Magdalena (nee Bowman) Balschbach / Balsbaugh, Henry,Veronica (nee Bowman)Schneider, and Jacob Bowman Sr (most of the reunion attendees are descended from Jacob Bowman Sr and his 2 wives - Anna Beam and Barbara (surname not confirmed...working on it though). Magdalena's descendants are numerous! As are Abraham's and Henry's.

It appears that the original reunion met in the 1920s into the 1930s then went "on hold" until after the depression & the war.

Uncle Lester G Bowman ( Find A Grave Memorial# 118340803) recreated the current reunion in the early 1960s after World War II; he contacted all the family he could remember from the original reunion. He attended the original reunion as an elementary age child.

Find A Grave Memorial# 56882583 is my grandfather!

Please correct the date of death you posted. Michael died in 2011, NOT 2001.

Welcome to Find A Grave.

Huh... Full Name, Full Birth/Death Dates and Locations, links to her Parents and Husband, and Burial Location all were there. More complete than the majority of memorials on Find A Grave! ;)

Anyway, I've posted her obituary to her memorial for you (counter to a recent change in the site FAQ's [see the "Help with Find A Grave" link on left], where it states we are no longer supposed to post obituaries or obituary photos without the newspaper's permission).

Surprised there is NO addl detail for this Memorial Record. Like the High School class that Ruth was a part...she listed it in her obituary.
