Angeline Mullins
Today, I visited Plainsburg Cemetery, Plainsburg, CA. I met with a staff member there who has worked there for almost 30 years. He took me to where Angeline's son Amasa and his wife are buried. He told me that according to the cemetery records, Amasa and wife are the only Mullins there. Regardless, after taking photos of those markers, I walked the two oldest areas of the cemetery. No Angeline. No Mullin, or variation of it.

Merced, CA, is about 50 miles from my home, Plainsburg, CA, not as far and Fresno, CA, would be in another direction of my home. If you find another location for Angeline within other towns around here, I'd be glad to make another run and take a look for you.

My apologies, I wish you luck!

Yesterday, I went Merced District Cemetery to try again to locate Angeline. I have applauded the cemetery Staff, and must give them credit here, for they spent much time thoroughly searching their records for the whereabouts of Angeline. We looked in the original books, and computer, for any variation of her whole name, but found nothing.

Regardless, I walked the whole Asphodel area twice yesterday (plus the first time, the other day) and she is not there.

Merced District Cemetery covers that cemetery and Calvary cemetery, Merced, Ca. Angeline is not at either cemetery.

Next to Merced District Cemetery is Evergreen Cemetery, privately owned. I talked to staff there and they told me where the 'oldest' burials on their grounds were located, although they have no record if who is out there.

So, I walked the whole 'oldest' area, twice, Angeline is not there.

As of today, I will try to get back out to Plainsburg Cemetery, Plainsburg, CA, where her son and his wife is buried to see if she's out there.

Spent quite some time out there today. I badly wanted to get her photo for you! But, I'm going to have to get the cemetery staff to escort me to Angeline's location. Her plot location, as well as another gentleman's plot that I'm trying to locate are nothing I've ever seen before. I'll try again in a few days. I'll call ahead this time. I was there today during office hours, but no staff were available.

Soon, I'm hoping, you'll be 'grateful'. :) I'm trying!

RE: Debbie Gamble
Hi Deborah!

Thanks so much for your note! It's a shame you had to wait so long to have your request fulfilled.

Normally, I photograph other cemeteries but when I saw the backlog of requests, decided to try and fulfill those I could find.

I'm so glad to have been able to find and photograph the grave for you!

Best Wishes,
Sharon

These graves were moved in the 50s and all that was done to mark the new grave was to place a plaque in the ground with the family last name - the stones were either not moved or interred with the caskets. You can contact the cemetery office (610-644-9150) and ask them to clear the plaque if you want it photographed - most of these have grown over with grass over time and are impossible to find without a metal detector!

If you decide to request that the grave be cleared and would like it photographed, please let me know once it's clear. I'm happy to pop over and photograph it once it's clear and marked.
