Thank you very much for the information Ray. I will be checking it out very soon and, hopefully, add some more 'documentation' to our family tree.

Thanks very much for the pictures from the Screen Wall. Apologies for the lateness of my thanks but I, like many others, am not getting any notifications when requests are fulfilled!!
|Kriss Stauber||Pettit/Bates Graves|
Thanks so much for your time and effort.
The photo on the Find A Grave site for the Pettit/Bates grave marker was taken before 1935, and I suspect the actual marker was destroyed possibly during the war years--so any further effort would probably be futile.
I'll remove the photo requests from Find A Grave so that no further futile efforts are made.
I truly appreciate all you have done to try to find my ancestors.
|Jeannine Rickard||Oatley Marker in Abney Park Cemetery|
Thank you so much for locating the Oatley grave marker in Abney Park Cemetery. My grandmother was an Oatley, and her father, Cornelius Oatley came to the United States and settled in Akron, Ohio, and then in Atlanta, Georgia. My grandmother was born in 1885 in Akron.
I have done most of my Oatley research online, and it is neat to see proof that Cornelius's father was buried in Abney Park Cemetery. I am proud of my English heritage. I currently live just north of Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
I am assuming that there are many names and dates listed on the old marker. It is difficult to read what is written. If you can tell me more about the names you could read, I would appreciate it.
I appreciate the fact that you took the time to look for the Oatley marker and post the photos on Find a Grave. Good luck in your own family research.
Thankyou Ray for filling my photo requests for the Biggs's at Abney Park Cemetery. Your efforts are very appreciated. It is a shame to see the graves so over grown and not maintained, it must not have been an easy job for you to get the pictures. All the best. Regards, Ronald Welch.
