RE: Obits?
Hi,

Send me your e mail address and I will attempt to scan the obits. There are actually 2 for John. one that said he died and another obit to appear in the next week paper. First one says he will be buried in City Cemetery, which was Hazelton Cemetery, now Rose Hill Cem.

Are you related to the Prather's?

RE: John Wesley NOT in Hazleton
John Prather obit. Appeared in the Hazelton Express dated June 30, 1893 pg 3. Says he was buried in the city cemetery, which at that time was Hazelton Cemetery, but now called Rose Hill Cemetery. The full obit for John printed in the Hazelton Express, July 7, 1893 pg 3.

Hope that helps.

Also, a relative went to that cemetery many years ago and could not find the headstone for either Prather. It is believed the headstones were made of wood and thru the years rotted away. But the obit proves they are buried there, as John passed away 6 months prior to Annie.

Hope that helps.

RE: John Wesley NOT in Hazleton
Hi Robert,

I have two obituaries, one of John and one of his wife. His wife's obit says she will be buried in Hazelton Cemetery, which is now called Rose Hill Cemetery. The obit of Annie Prather says she died at the home of W.F. Lester, in Hazelton, KS.
Other relatives told me John is also buried in Hazelton Cemetery. The obit for John is is from the Hazelton Express. Hope that helps.
