The correct date would be 1909. That was a typo on my part.
Anyway, Jacob may or may not have a death certificate. Illinois did not require them until 1914. I think if you call the courthouse in Havana, they might look it up for you. 309-543-6619.
Oak Grove Cemetery was never formally plotted or recorded. James Cox owned the land and buried his daughter Mary there in 1855. He later gave some of the land to the village of Manito to be a free burial ground.

There are many folks buried there with no marker and their names are lost to time.

You should have been in the right area. I took pictures of all the headstones I could find and tried to decipher all of them. Some of them I could not read no matter how hard I looked. After that, I inputed the info from the local cemetery books.
