My winter hobby of genealogy has led me to volunteer work at Find-A-Grave. I enjoy the solitude of roaming the cemeteries and hope that I am helping others find answers to missing family information. In the summertime...bring on golf :)|
I live on Long Island and most of the photos I take are from St. Charles and Long Island National. In addition, I have added a number of memorials from information found in the old Brooklyn Daily Eagle - mainly for Holy Cross in Brooklyn and St. John's in Middle Village, Queens from the early 1900's.
Feel free to use my pictures in your family trees, etc.

Thank you so much for the link to the newspaper article. Now I know what is going on with him...
The Peter F Donnellan in the Newspaper article is a DIFFERENT person. In the article, he is living in Brooklyn and is married to Matilda. This one was never married to Carrie Cuddy. If you do an ancestry search, you can find this man, a bricklayer and mason, in Brooklyn.
My Peter F Donnellan always lived in New Jersey and was married to first, Mary Ellen and second Carrie Cuddy. He was a Realtor, and seems to have died in 1951.
Chances are they are cousins or something, but not one in the same person.
So, I wonder if you can "unlink" him from Carrie Cuddy, since they were never married? It would be nice to straighten this out.
Thanks so much,

I see you've done much volunteer work for find-a-grave, thank you for all your efforts.
I was wondering about the memorial you added for Peter Francis Donellan, Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
You have listed his death as May 7, 1918. I wonder if you know where you obtained that specific date? He is my great-grandfather and I'm fairly sure he was alive at least into 1930, by census records... but there's always the possibility I interpreted the information wrong... He may have died in 1951, according to one Social Security record I've seen.
What do you think? I'd love some feedback from you.

Hello again !!
Checked the bio info ... it was from the obit, right? Got it. Also, FYI, she was born Mary Kate, became Marie Margaret when she arrived here, and eventually became Mary Margaret ... makes record hunting even more fun, don't you think ?!?!
Thanks for your help !!
