|Steve T||RE: hello|
Unfortunately he is not as popular in the UK as he once was. I have read practically all of his books - I have very old versions and they are treasured possessions - but luckily I am able to get them now as e-Books from Amazon. Very important for me as I travel throughout Europe a great deal.
There was a biography issued last year which is OK (I have read better)
"To Serve Them All My Days" (my second favourite) was a TV series in the UK back in the 1970s/80s and is available on DVD - it is very good and true to the book if you have not seen it.
Another author to watch out for if you like R.F Delderfield is R.C Sherriff - an earlier era (1930s) but lovely gentle novels - "The Fortnight in September" and Greengates are the ones to read. Best wishes - Steve
