I am related to the Morgan, Olds, Dunn, Morse, Whitmire and Crockett families of East Texas, mostly in Jasper County, Texas. I have a blog where I upload stories and pictures, and would love to hear from anyone who has more information or would like to request information about anyone mentioned on the site or in the Olds Cemetery. You can visit the blog at oldsfamilytales.wordpress.com or the cemetery site at oldscemetery.com.|

I just noticed your message. Rev. Partain was also the first preacher for the First Baptist Church in Bay City until they called a full-time pastor.

Hi, Laura, no I'm not related to Richard. I found him while researching African American WWI vets in Jasper County.
|Holly Bonorden Jentsch||RE: Ealands|
I am not related but appreciate the offer and thank you for creating the entries and adding my 'connections'.

I sincerely wish I could help you in your quest Ms. Laura. In 1998, my father in law (Rodgers Jackson) passed. His daughter (my former wife) & I went to East Texas & cleaned his house. We found quite a few funeral programs his late foster mother (Lear Hail, Jim Jr's wife) had saved over the years . Mr. Hail's program was one of them. I never knew Mr. Hail & met Ms. Lear only once. I assume my ex-wife may have the programs as I no longer do. But, she knows no more than I do in the matter. Sorry. You may want to try Ancestry.com or one of the other genealogical data bases.
Thanks Laura for the monument pictures and your note. I will check for sure next time I am in Jasper, possibly next week. Wish you a Merry Christmas!

I would love a copy of the Transcribed minutes from Antioch and the information about Letty Crockett Whitmire and her family.
Lettie's and Andrew's mother Martha Crockett was a charter member of Antioch her and her brother Hilliard Durden are both indicated as such on the Historical Marker for Antioch. I have also worked on our Durdin's.
Thanks for contacting me. I am on facebook Debra L Kiggans LaMel go send me a friend request if you also have facebook.
