RE: Re: Elizabeth Honnaker
Thanks for your reply and for doing that. I am a Bryant descendant and have read and seen almost all of the arguments made. They are about the same as the arguments for my Redmon family, which previously was Redman which in turn has its origins from the Raymond name. My personal way of dealing with it on here is to do what I do in my own research. That is to go by what surname they were given at birth if there are records to substantiate it. If there is nothing to prove what surname they were given at birth, then I give them whatever they used the most throughout their lifetime, or were using at the time of their death. I made this decision due to getting SACs to change a surname only to get another one after honoring it from someone else wanting it changed to what I originally had. I've stuck with it and been much happier on here.

As for Isaac surname, I have seen it spelled more ways than just what is on here. To me, that just validates how often names were misspelled.

Anyway, I really appreciate you changing it back to Bryant. I will go ahead and transfer the others to you.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Elizabeth Honnaker

I transferred her memorial to you as you had requested. I was quite shocked to see that you removed the information that I had. You are not supposed to change a transferred memorial other than to add additional information.

As for changing her surname from Bryant to Bryan, I do wish you would put it back to Bryant. There are numerous direct descendants that state it was in fact Bryant, however, the powers that be in Fayette County decided it would be too much trouble to change all of the history to make it Bryant.

As I can't now be certain that you would not do likewise to the other Honnaker memorials I created, I wish to think more on it before possibly transferring them to you.

Please tell me where you got the information for Find-A-Grave if there is no body or resting place.
I will need this for source.
