Thank you. I have used a sod cutter before, but I liked your results much better. I will try your method next time. :)

Paul, what sort of tool(s) and/or process do you use to uncover sod-covered markers so that you can cover them back up with the same sod after photographing them?

Thanks so much for your photo of Matilda's resting place. So sad to learn she has no tombstone to mark the place. Long story, but she did not mark her brother's grave according to her mother's wishes stated in her mother's will. So her daughter failed to mark hers. I guess no one in that family was responsible enough to do the job or they were just stingy and did not want to spend the money. Her sister(my gg Grandmother) had 6 children who died in infancy and none of their graves were marked. I got one stone and had all their names inscribed and put it at the foot of their grandparents stone. Maybe someday I can amend this situation as well. Anyway, I do appreciate your kindness. I could never have made it to Washington. I live in Missouri. Linda Vieth

Thank you so much for taking these pictures of my Great-Grandparents and their sons headstones. I visited many years ago and it is so good to see them again.
Thank you very much for the photo of Earle's headstone. Looks like someone had to do a little digging--so a double thanks!
