|James Snow||RE: Thank you|
You are welcome!
|Mary Joan||Mistake in my earlier message|
The son of Andrew is Abraham J., NOT Andrew J.! Sorry for the error, these Andrew and Abraham's are so hard to keep straight! Note the Abraham Mavis buried in Kemp Cemetery is a brother to Andrew, your ggg grandfather. Also Mary Huston Mavis, your ggg grandmother is buried in Kemp with Andrew, but does not have a tombstone. Either she never had a stone, or it is no longer there?
I an going to add the tombstone photo you requested for Mary L. Mavis, Farmer Cemetery once I send this message. I was over that way today, so took the photos!
Did your grandfather and father ever live in Defiance Co., OH? Or did they live in NE as well?

Welcome to Find A Grave! You are going to like this website!
I have just completed some research on one line of Andrew Mavis's descendants. I had taken the photo, but had not yet added it to Find A Grave!
The research I have is for Andrew Mavis born in PA 1818-Apr.1852 and his wife Mary Huston Mavis b. in Knox Co., OH abt 1822- died after 1870. They were married 5 Dec 1839 in Knox Co., OH
Their Son was Andrew J. Mavis born in Knox Co., OH 3 Feb 1841 and died 15 May 1927 in Defiance Co., OH. His wife was Caroline Stahl born in Wyndotte Co., OH on 6 Jan 1844 and she died 1 Aug 1915 in Defiance Co., OH. They were married 11 Mar 1866 in Williams Co., OH. They had a son Andrew E. who married Mary Richardson.
I would be glad to share more if this is your line! Or if you descend from one of Andrew or Abraham J.s other children, I can help you with Defiance Co., documents.
