Now that I am retired I have developed an interest in researching my ancestry; not for any particular reason other than curiosity and hopefully enjoyment. So far it has been fun. My family was not close so getting information is a bit challenging.|
I signed up to take photos of grave stones and my wife and I have enjoyed this activity. It's good exercise walking the cemeteries and it is rewarding to help people with their photo requests. Although I started our ancestry work, my wife has gotten into it far more than I. She has researched her side of our family more deeply than I have done my side. She also enjoys creating memorials and has created over 3,000 as of August 2014.
In short we have found a fun and rewarding (on many levels) avocation that I think we will carry on for many years.

Thanks for all the headstone photos but could you fix this one - it shows up sideways and is hard to read in the position - thanks!

Bob, thanks so much for the photo. I just requested her husband's since I wasn't sure where he was buried.

Bob & Joyce, you just made my day! I am so pleased to have the lovely marker photos for my dear uncle's mom, dad, and sister. Your service to those who are far across the county is immeasurable. Thanks so much....

Bob, I'm so sorry you took the time to look for this. I meant to take it off the requests but evidently had a senior moment and forgot.

I've posted a new photo request for him. Many thanks for your help.

Bob, thank you for adding this. She is James Gallie Camden's wife. Didn't realize there might be a marker for her.

Bob, another big thank you for getting this photo. I really appreciate it.
