Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a retired middle school teacher who has been interested in genealogy for about 25 years. Most of my ancestors immigrated to the Philadelphia area from the British Isles (mostly Ireland) and stayed in the south Philadelphia area for their entire lives. I have over 200 direct relatives and over 100 in-laws buried in Mount Moriah Cemetery in southwest Philadelphia, so I have a special attachment to that decades-neglected and now closed cemetery. I very much appreciate the tireless efforts of the Friends of Mount Moriah Cemetery who work to preserve and maintain that cemetery.

You're welcome to copy my pictures of headstones. I'd appreciate a note letting me know that you have done so. Most of my photos are of relatives' gravesites and I'd like to know if we're related. Please don't copy any of my pictures of people without asking permission. All of them are available to share on Ancestry.

I am happy to transfer any memorials that I currently manage, as long as they are not blood relations of mine, whether the transfer follows Find A Grave guidelines or not.

RE: William Connell in Mount Moriah
Thank you for asking. I am not related. I was just doing some other research and happened upon this family in Mt. Moriah. Always like to link families when there are records to prove they belong together.

Genealogy
Hi: You have made a great deal of progress in your genealogy search. I'm not doing much of it now, but have not really given up. I've gotten to my great-grandparents, the O'Tooles and found my great-grandfather Benjamin Curry, but am unable to find his wife's name. They lived in Bucks County and back then, Bucks didn't keep many records. All I know is that my great-grandfather Benjamin was single in the 1870 census and in the 1880 census, he was a widower with 3 children and his mother and half-sister, plus a nephew living with them.
I have gotten some information about Benjamin Curry in Trevose, Pa., but I need to check it out.

Take care.

Edward Herman's memorial
Hi Leslie: SUCCESS!!!!!

Edward Herman belongs to you now.

Please make sure it's done correctly.

Since you have some Irish ancestry, do you have any O'Tooles or Currys?

Just curious.

Take care.

Edward Herman's memorial
Hi: I'll be glad to transfer Mr. Herman's memorial to you. I don't believe in such strict "rules" that some people make on their own.
I'll do my best to take care of that right away.

Take care.

RE: James Odgers, David Odgers
I'm not related to them either, however, they are connected by marriage to 1 or 2 of my direct lines. I've just been interested to sort them all out because it's a relatively uncommon surname. All the Philly Odgers appear to be related in some way. I think I did notice the other day that there were two memorials for David. I'll gladly accept the transfers once that's sorted out. Thanks for your help and the photo. Much appreciated.
