Just retired and having a blast searching my own family history. My sister and I have renewed our relationship by searching online and traveling to hometowns of family members. We are better than ever now, just wish we had done this sooner. We have learned so much history about Mississippi and Alabama.|
If you find any errors please let me know. Also,
any photos I have taken you may use as you wish.
( Picture is of Teddy, he was found wandering streets and we got him from Animal Rescue League.
He has been a wonderful addition to our family)
Family names searching: Bryant, Clements, Payne, Thompson and McCraw. If you have info, PLEASE e-mail me. Thanks

Do you have info you would like me to add to the memorial? I follow Find A Grave guidelines for transfer requests.

Thank you Joyce. No, I hadn't seen it yet. I e-mailed Norwood to see if I can start a communication, to see what backup can be provided. I have an 1850 census that says otherwise but... stranger things have happened. We'll see. Thanks again!

I c u r new at this, when u type in capital letters you are considered hollowing. Just to let u kno, small letters on a memorial is preferred. thanks

In response to your request: I have no control over siblings. You need to contact the manager of his memorial to get him unlinked from the wrong parents.
Please remove John Wesley Payne # 77432750 as a sibling. He is a nephew. His father Edward William Payne would be a sibling. At present time I am unable to locate his grave in Walker County, Al.
John Wesley is my grandfather and Edward William is my g-grandfather.

Sorry you have had a hard time with this one, sometimes certain folks are quite illusive to narrow down data, I come across that frequently when I do volunteer work at Roosevelt, some names I just can't find anything on them. Others the puzzle takes a while but when all the pieces come together it's very rewarding to have solved mystery. Keep searching. Thank you for all that you do and thank you for your help. Jerry

Hi Joyce, Thank you for your kind message, since getting it I tried to see if I could locate anything on genalogybank.com and newspapers.com, no luck so far, I did go back to ancestry.com and plugged in Mary Medlock and searched in the part that isolated down to newspaper publications. There was an obit published in Cullman AL, but it does not appear to be a match, hopefully the SD Genealogical society can be of help. Please advise if you have any edits needed.

I see nothing on the memorial which identifies him as a half-brother.

The Old Lady the kept up the Cemetery had all the places each one was buried in her head. Thats true she helped with rocks of un-marked Graves with this. No one listened to her or the care takers now would have records. Thank God for this she was a hugh help. And No I have like 30 graves of family here no records.
