Found this:

DIED - At Greenville, Tennessee, Maj ALEXANDER SEVIER, late of the United States Naval Service. During the last war, the deceased was a Subaltern under Commodore Barney, at the attack of the British upon Washington. He then distinguished himself and was carried off wounded. Upon his recovery he was immediately promoted to the rank of Major in the Marine Corps.

At the close of the war, Major Sevier retired from the service and has since resided at Greenville, Tennessee.

Elias H Sevier
Hi Lee,
I am the unofficial guru of the Milford Cemetery. I noticed your Seviers are in TN. I attend the Sevier Reunion that is held in Italy, Texas each year. Elias Huntsman Sevier was my husband's great grandfather. His daughter, Retha Sevier Mitchell was my husband's grandmother and I knew her personally since 1970. Anyway, Elias had 2 wives. Retha said she thinks he is buried by his 2nd wife in 1B-30. There is a green Funeral Home Marker in that plot that is illegible. Thanks, Angie Knott.
