|Vickie Banks Edwards||RE: Swann|
I am so sorry that I don't know of anyone who could be of help to you on the Swann's. I wish you the best of luck.
|Vickie Banks Edwards||Swann|
Iva Rebecca Swann married Barrett Padgett. I found that she was the daughter of Thomas Swann & Rebecca Coates Swann. Iva & Barretts daughter Alice Padgett Banks (died 2007)she was married to my first cousin.
My mother's paternal grandmother was Rebecca Jane Coates and she married Henry Arrington. Mom always said that the two Rebecca's were related but I haven't found exactly how they were related.
Have a blessed weekend!

Linda, I just added John Renn's gravestone picture as you requested. In doing this I came across other Renn gravestones in the same plot -- are you interested in their pictures? Names: Ernest Renn, Anna Roesner Renn, Henry J. Renn, and William A. Renn. Please let me know. Thanks, Tom.

Were some of your family members by chance Quakers? I was talking to an aunt by marriage who is a Quaker. She said that she was told the reason why many of her family members never had stones was because the Quakers believed that God always knew where they were and there was never a need for a stone. After she told me this, I have found this too be true of so many of the older Quaker people as I searched for their markers in various cemeteries.
Just thought I would pass this on.
