First discovered Find A Grave looking for celeb graves. I started using Ancestry.com and discovered Find A Grave as a genealogy tool. I live in Lynchburg, VA.|
1/14, due to a back injury I am not able to photograph so I have turned my efforts to research.

Thank you very much David for the death certificate for Zola . She was my grandmother. I really was thrilled to see it. Regards, Doris Hancock Boahn.
Thank you so much for the picture of the headstone for Christian Lindsey!!!
Where are you getting the info re his date of birth, place of death and parents? Also I'm not crazy about linking to an unknown burial (his mother). Thanks!

Hi David, I am getting everyone linked that you sent me, etc, on one, you had Ida Jones Dishman as Claude's first wife, she actually was his second, Claude married her after his first wife Florence died. I have them linked in the proper order now, I hadn't realized he remarried until I saw you edit. Also on Ida's edit, I don't add previous marriages in the last name column, but always happy to link or make note in the bios.
Again, thanks for the help, Larry

I know the problem with the duplication, when Billy looked, there was no Roy Dishman there, Roy was one of many Dishman's to change their name spelling to Dishmon. Why is beyond me. I did send Billy a note telling him he had duplicated mine. Kate & the parents spelled theirs Dishman, as I say, lord only knows why some of them changed the spelling. I did some work for a member of this same family sometime back, lots of them drifted to Rockingham Co., NC, same thing there, 2 spellings of the name. Anyway, I did link mine to Kate. The cemetery is just off hwy 58 on Whispering Pines Rd in the community of Brosville, there is a lot of Eanes buried in that same area, grand pa's brothers family is on same road, ok, later, Larry

David, mine is not a duplicate, someone 2 years later came along & duplicated mine. Maybe you can send a note to them, asking them to delete. These Disman's, Dishmon's are married into the Eanes

David: Sorry to hear about your back. I know that I enjoy walking and photographing, and I too have some back pain but luckily, a couple of Advil help a lot. I noticed your interest in the Dishmans, so if you'd like a transfer, just let me know. Tommy Wood

Thanks for the update of Alvin's parents.
If you have an interest in the Phillis family, you may want to research if Alvin's Aunt Lizzie Phillis Thompson (Memorial No. 140302759) was married to the Herbert M. Thompson (Memorial No. 61692208) buried in Alma, Kansas.

Hi. I saw your request for an edit to Benjamin Dishman. This name is of interest to me as my great-grandmother was a Dishman in Virginia. I have not been able to connect Benjamin to the Virginia Dishmans as Keith doesn't have an Onnie Dishman in his database.
Are you related? Where did you find his dob? Is there anything else you can tell me about him or his family?

Beneath her tombstone photo, it shows this info:
Katie Maude Alice Brazzel Simmons: Born 16 March, 1881, Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama. Died: 12 May 1973.
You sent info that she was born in Texas.
Which is correct?
