Great! I don't live out in that area any longer but when I did was close to this cemetery and listed many memorials and photos. If you are close go there and if not call and talk to the caretaker of the grounds. He is very helpful and will look through or let you look through files to obtain information.

Great to hear that you did get a photo!
I am very familiar with the "Old Calvary Cemetery" in Mankato. I have mowed and maintained this area for about 30 years. I have done much research on the history of the cemetery. I will assure you that there are no stones baring any of the surnames you cited: Knott, Prokosch, Schaufer.
This old cemetery is known by several names, including Calvary, Rural Grove, Pioneer. Currently it is known as Pioneer Memorial Park. It is a Mankato city park. Yes it is the original catholic cemetery in Mankato and yes it was the original cemetery for St. Peter and Pauls Catholic Church. In the late 1890's, due to City ordinance and space, the church acquired a new larger burial ground just up the hill from this old cemetery outside City Limits at the time. Many interments were moved from the old area to the new one.
You stated Frank Knott died in 1922. He would have been buried in the "new" Calvary Cemetery. St. Peter and Paul"s Catholic Church maintains the Cemetery records for the current "Calvary Cemetery", Mankato, Mn. That is where you must look for Frank Knotts grave.

I will try to find the grave sometime soon for a picture but I was told during my personal search - this is Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter. Here is a link:
is now owned by the Church of St. Peter and is under the guidelines of the Catholic Diocese of New Ulm. You can call the church!
