RE: Gifford gravestone and Cadder Churchyard photos
Hi Chris,

It sounds like I was lucky that the Gifford stone was still standing. It is a shame that many of the stones have fallen but I suppose that is the way with a lot of old graveyards. So your work is doubly important as eventually your photos may be all that is left.

Gifford gravestone and Cadder Churchyard photos
Hi Chris,

I was so pleased when I opened my email yesterday and found the wonderful gravestone and Cadder churchyard photos that you had taken. I particularly liked the close-ups of the gravestone as they made it so much easier to read. Thank you so much for doing this, I really appreciate the time and effort that went into it.

Kind Regards

Brenda

Hi Chris

Email address is lizgrieve@hotmail.com. Do you know if people who used to live in Garnkirk were buried there? It's just I'm looking for the grave for the "New" family. Thanks.

Many thanks for adding the photo of one of my cousins at Cadder cemetery. I had visited there on a couple of occasions and never found it or another lair I was looking for. Can't thank you enough for this.

RE: Cadder Churchyard
Hi Chris,

Thank you so much for getting back to me. We finally made it back to civilization. I can't tell you how pleasant it is to be able to have hot baths, running water and internet access.

I am so looking forward to seeing your photos of the Gifford gravestones from the Cadder Churchyard. Will you be posting the photos to the Find a Grave website?

Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication.

Kind regards,

Brenda Curtis

RE: Campsie Cemetery
Thank you so much! We were over there Aug 2014, but didn't have the info on those graves yet. It came that October and we were just sick as we were within 20 miles! We did find the other side of the family in Colmonell and Maybole and were able to take pictures of my husband and son with their greatX2 and X3 ancestors' headstones. Appreciate your help!!

RE: Gifford Cadder Churchyard
Hi Chris,

So good to hear from you! Sorry for the slow response but we summer out at our cabin in the wilds of British Columbia and we have no intenet. We drive in to town once a week to check our email.

You have taken on an ambitious project doing both the Cadder Cemetery and the Cadder Curchyard Cemetery its very kind of you. I had a quick look at my tree and don't see either of the Giffords you mentioned but they may both be related. I have many James Giffords but I don't have death dates for all. Jane Christie Gifford may well be a relative as my 3x great uncle Thomas Gifford married Elizabeth Christy (Christie) so she could be descended from them. I would definitely like to see photos of the headstones as it may help me to make the connections. When I get back to Calgary (mid October) I will get right to it.

I am so looking forward to hearing back from you once you have the Cadder Churchyard Cemetery completed.

Thank you so much for getting in touch with me. I really do appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Brenda Curtis

Johnston/Higgins
Hi Chris, I noted your looking for a Death Certificate of Bridget Johnston - Higgins on Rootschat. I have quite a bit of information on Patrick and the boys and would be happy to share with you but not here or on the other site. Please feel free to contact me directly.
