Tinsley and extended families
Martha, first of all I want to thank you for your work with Find A Grave. It really means a lot to people like me who cannot otherwise visit gravesites to be able to visit them on Find A Grave. I appreciate so very much your posting photos to help us visualize our extended families graves.
Were it not for dedicated workers like you, we might never know where they were buried. I hope you won't mind my copying the photos for my family files on Ancestry and Family TreeMaker.
Again I say thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Marcus Glliam
The DAR will not accept the 1870 census since it only lists initials of all the children. We did find a Jas Gilliam at the right age working as a laborer for a merchant in the 1880 census.

RE: Marcus A. Gillam
August 23, 1870 James A Gilliam is listed as being 7 years old in the 1870 Census. His father is Marcus Austin Gilliam 34 years old. Eliza Gilliam 35 years old. And their other children are listed there also.
